Can a single author bridge the gap between enzymology, endocrinology, and nutrition in the understanding of disease associated with vitamin deficiency or excess? The limitations of this work, and they are fewer than expected, result from the inability of one author, or a single reviewer for that matter, to be an expert in so many areas.
One comes away from this volume with an understanding of where vitamins can and do affect not only endocrine metabolism but the overall biochemistry of the organism as well. The limitations of the book are manifest principally where the author attempts an overview of
