As indicated by its title, this monograph contains a short section on morphological development of the genital system and a longer section on the anatomical development of intersex genitalia. Of the 236 references listed, only 18 (5 of which were contributed by the author) were published within the last 4 years.
The primary contribution of this monograph to this much-publicized field are the excellent plates showing the development of internal and external genitalia in dissected human embryos. The author clearly conveys a third dimension in genital development that is rarely seen in standard clinical textbooks dealing with this subject.
