A careful analysis of the author's experience with roentgenkymographic studies in relation to newer diagnostic methods and techniques. Concise commentary, excellent illustrations; a good introduction to the method.
For many reasons, the technique, initially introduced 30 years ago, is now little used. As the author states, "The most serious criticism offered is that kymography is no longer being done and since it was the method of another day, physicians cannot gain by using it." He presents a number of reasons to support his belief that much remains to be done with kymography.
