Right bundle-branch block has recently been recognized as ominous in acute myocardial infarction. The records of 31 patients with RBBB and infarction were analyzed. Twenty-one were men and 10 were women. The average age was 66 years. The RBBB was present on admission ECG in 21 cases and subsequently appeared in 10 cases. Three patients had a transient RBBB. Fourteen patients presented with RBBB-left anterior hemiblock (LAH), 11 with RBBB-left posterior hemiblock (LPH), five with RBBB, and one with RBBB and prolonged PR interval.
