The Department of Radiology at the Surgical University Hospital, Heidelberg, Germany, performed 1733 abdominal angiographics from 1961 to 1971; about one half of these involved selective catheterization of the celiac, superior, or inferior mesenteric artery. The experience gained from this material forms the basis of this handsomely produced book. The 351 illustrations (25 in color) are of excellent quality but are inconviently separated from the text in a special section. Brief chapters deal with vascular anatomy and angiographic techniques.
