Of several new books on urinary infections, this one stands in the front rank. The author has distilled the work of 15 years into a monograph detailing his methods and results. As a urologist and bacteriologist Dr. Stamey is unique in thoughtfully bringing his investigative methods to patient treatment. Iconoclastic as ever, he shakes some cherished verities of fellow urologists and infectious disease colleagues.
