To the editor: The article, "A Library for Internists" (Ann Intern Med 79:293-322, 1973), suggests books that internists will find valuable for reference, if made conveniently available in their personal office libraries. I wish to suggest additional books for inclusion in the praiseworthy list of recommended books.
There should be at least one book on forensic medicine, even though internists are not subjected to suits for medical liability as often as physicians in the surgical specialties. Among the books recommended, the classic volume, which is still valuable even though not revised since 1954, is:
