A greatly revised edition of a book that had become conspicuously inadequate and antiquated. This is not a massive, fully comprehensive test that can serve as a reference for clinical pathologists or academic subspecialists in internal medicine; it is an adequate introduction for medical students and a short refresher source for house officers and older physicians. Methods are not given in enough detail for laboratory guidance. Normal values in chapter 19; subject index.
