In the last few years there has been a plethora of books on renal diseases, new editions of older textbooks as well as completely new publications. Most of these books have been compiled by clinicians and pathologists for the clinician, and only a few have been written by pathologists for the pathologist. Dr. Meadows's book belongs in the latter category, and it is welcome.
