In this monograph the author describes his studies of the circulation of fetal lambs and applies the knowledge thus derived to the fetal and immediately postnatal circulatory physiology and, to some extent, the anatomy of the human with congenital heart disease.
A rather long section on cardiac catheterization, hemodynamics, and angiography is detailed and contains many useful hints in catheterization and study of hemodynamics, particularly in the neonate.
Thirteen chapters are given to physiologic, hemodynamic, and clinical aspects as well as to the principles of management in the more common and important types of congenital heart disease.
