As indicated in the title, this book is an atlas, not a textbook, and concentrates on the glomerulus, yet there is ample interesting and useful textual material and much insight into disease in general. There is also an excellent chapter on preparative methods for renal biopsies. The author is an experienced and expert renal pathologist, and the literature is extensively cited.
As is the nature of much renal pathology, many of the pictures look sufficiently similar as to be differentiable only with difficulty. This may frustrate the inexperienced or uninitiated person who wishes to be presented with distinguishing images. It
