Thomas Percival's Medical Ethics (GM 1764), reprinted from the 1927 edition published by Williams & Wilkins in 1927. Doctor Leake's five-chapter 1927 introduction to Percival's text is now preceded by his 1974 historical comments and preface. To the 1927 appendixes of the several American Medical Association Principles of Medical Ethics are added various supplementary items, such as professional oaths and the Declaration of Geneva. The subject index covers both Percival's Text and the AMA Principles. Percival's text is a basic document in the literature of Anglo-American medical ethics, and Doctor Leake's comments, notes, and appended documents serve very well as
