Interest in intracardiac potentials was accelerated by the development of catheter methods for stable His bundle recordings in man from 1968 to the present. This book documents recent advances in clinical electrophysiology and His bundle electrocardiography, in an attempt to integrate the knowledge gathered during the last 6 years.
No fewer than 27 authors describe in 20 chapters various aspects of intracardiac electrogram recording and interpretation. Wisely, early chapters are devoted to the anatomy of the conduction system, the electrophysiology of the specialized conduction system, and conduction pathways within the bundle of His and the bundle branches.
