A number of atlases of dermatology have recently been published. Any new atlas must compete to succeed. Atlases must not only inform and educate, they must titillate the intellectual appetite, for, according to Doctor Morris Leider's foreward, the atlas is supplementary to larger texts. This atlas does titillate in that sense and should succeed.
With the 773 colour pictures and 70 000 words that comprise this atlas, the authors aim at an audience of pediatricians, dermatologists, and others who may be interested.
