As preclinical students most of us learned our physiology under duress. But when we became clinicians, we put away our childish attitudes and developed genuine curiosity about how things really worked. Clinical Physiology is the answer to the reprobate clinician's prayer. It is a look at the basic science scene through the wrong end of the telescope, from the point of view of genuine curiosity, sharply focused, and cut down to size. And there may be the main problem with this book: that for the increasingly sophisticated clinician it has perhaps become oversimplified.
