The selection of topics for the tenth volume of Pathology Annual again shows Dr. Sommer's shrewd appreciation of the ongoing needs of today's pathologist. The inclusion of two excellent chapters on cytogenetics—one of a general nature by Dr. David H. Carr, and another by Drs. Inhorn and Meisner on chromosomal banding—is most timely and will be widely read and used. A summary of the histopathologic aspects of infectious mononucleosis by Dr. Gowing is clearly written, well illustrated, and sums up all that the working pathologist needs to know.
