The International Committee for Nomenclature And Nosology of Renal Disease has enlisted the aid of experts from 29 countries in an attempt to achieve international standardization of nomenclature of nephrology. Although the majority of contributors to the resulting handbook are from the United States, contributors or committee members represent not only all continents, but Eastern Europe and the U.S.S.R. as well. Among the contributors is an impressive array of authorities, many of whom are editors of major texts.
Half of the book is given to glossaries for anatomy, immunology, pathology, physiology, clinical terms, syndromes, and radiology. One chapter gives criteria
