In recent years the management of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting has become increasingly complex. This book describes the actual techniques of bedside hemodynamic monitoring; it should serve as an excellent reference manual for physicians, nurses, and paramedical personnel. The authors, with the help of four contributors, have provided a generally well-written, concise, and easy-to-read text. It is supplemented by a large number of diagrams, illustrations, graphs, and tables that serve to amplify and enhance the material under discussion.
