To the editor: Mr. (or Dr. by now?) Letovsky (Ann Intern Med 87:631-632, 1977) needs to grow up a little before he can reach a balanced view of the relation between pharmaceutical manufacturers and the medical profession.
His almost visible shudder as he writes the word "profits" calls to mind Al Capp's statement that if he had to choose between a young man determined to do good to mankind and another young man determined to make a fast buck, he would take the latter every time, because the only way to make a fast buck was by being honest and
