An authoritative, concise text on history-taking and physical examination pertinent to the diagnosis of central and peripheral neurologic disorders. Chapter on the techniques that can be used with infants and children. Chapters on neuroradiology, electroencephalography, electromyography, and pharmacologic and biochemical aids to diagnosis are relatively short but serve adequately as introductions or summaries. Recommended to students as a supplement to conventional textbooks on diagnostic methods and to physicians who especially wish to improve their skills in neurologic examination. A relatively inexpensive alternative to a complete textbook of neurology.
