An excellent reference text, this work shows the cross-sectional anatomy of brain at various planes and degrees of angulation. The authors have carefully sectioned the brain in the transverse plane and photographed both the upper and under surface of each brain section. They have then shown the comparable computerized tomographic scan and supplemented this with drawings in which each anatomical structure is clearly labeled. This is meticulously done with the appropriate scan for the 15- and 20-deg angulation. At other angulations, only the photograph of the brain section and the labeled drawings are shown.
