In the three decades since the Manhattan project made large supplies of radioactive tracers widely available for medical use, nuclear applications in endocrinology have developed along the two technologically divergent but medically complementary paths involving in-vivo and in-vitro testing. During this time, very few books have even attempted a comprehensive coverage of both areas. Therefore, this book is a timely addition to the medical library because it contains, within a single volume, a range of material previously available only from multiple sources.
