Thirteen of these review articles concern topics in three fields: diabetic nephropathy; vitamin D, renal osteodystrophy, and disorders of divalent-ion metabolism; and dialysis and transplantation. The focus is on investigative interests, but practical problems in care get some attention. The other five reviews deal with some immunologic problems, but clinicians in diverse fields may be interested in Morton Maxwell's views on the use of angiotensin antagonists in renovascular hypertension.
