Generally cursory summary of the usual topics in psychiatry, with a nonproductive overuse of illustrative cases. Does pay attention to topics particularly important to non-psychiatrists, with an evaluation of suicide risk, psychometric testing, use of community resources, the dying patient, need for psychiatric consultation. Too superficial in most sections even for non-psychiatrists.
