When a book on a limited subject is published at the price range of this text, one has to assume that it was planned for the reference shelf. As such, it should be designed so that a reader could find the answer to a specific question or problem easily and also should provide further references for pursuing a question in detail. This work does this rather admirably, with 17 chapters devoted to individual subjects including embryology, etiology, pathology, diagnosis, and management of the various kinds of thyroid malignancies. In addition, there are excellent reviews of the subject of thyroid cancer
