A blend of the historical and the present, this short, readable work makes a good contribution overall. As in most books on specialty fields, little attention is given to the many areas in which the diagnostic modality is of little value. This is seemingly a universal shortcoming of books on nuclear medicine. Although multiauthored books provide a more thorough approach to subtle aspects and more complete coverage, they are not as personal and readable as this single-authored text.
There is good discussion on the thyroid and lesser but basic introductions to the other organ systems. The information offered should provide
