Chapters include history, normal and abnormal anatomy, hemodynamic physiology, and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to pathological processes. Outstanding is Dr. William Roberts' chapter, "The Aorta: Its Acquired Diseases and Their Consequences as Viewed from a Morphologic Perspective." Aortic dissection and aneurysm are comprehensively presented in overlapping chapters.
