This first of three planned volumes covers in detail the embryology, anatomy, and physiology of the arterial system, with particular attention to abdominal visceral circulation, the renal circulation, and arteries of the limbs. Two chapters cover arterial innervation and blood supply to nerves. The text is in a typewriter typeface. Most of the illustrations are adequate, although many of the halftones have inferior quality. The index is skimpy for a book of such detail.
