Five detailed, exhaustive reviews: biochemistry and genetics of the ABO, Lewis, and P blood-group systems; methods and interpretations in histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing; linkage analysis; sister chromatid exchange; and genetic disorders of male sex differentiation. The last of the five has the most direct relevance to clinical problems. The HLA review will be a good source for physicians concerned clinically with diagnostic use of HLA typing but lacking background knowledge of the development of HLA concepts and technical problems.
