A crowning achievement of the late Dr. Morton I. Grossman was the gathering of investigators from several institutions in 1974 to study peptic ulcer with many kinds of approaches. Members of this Center for Ulcer Research and Education (CURE), supported by the Veterans Administration, National Institutes of Health, and other organizations, have produced many important advances in both basic and clinical sides of the problem.
