The first edition of this book, published in 1968, was authoritative for its day and had 21 contributors, 750 pages, and 10-by-6.5-in. page size, and cost $32.75. Now, 14 years later, a second edition has 29 contributors, 895 pages, an 11-by-8-in. format (50% more type per page), and costs $96.00. Although bigger is not always better, in this case it is.
