In the last decade, there have been significant advances in knowledge of the pathophysiology of thrombosis as well as in clinical diagnosis and therapy of thromboembolism. It has been difficult to keep up with so much information. The present book is compact and contains most of the available data on thrombosis. This information is reviewed by well-known contributors with expertise in thrombosis. Although some internists may not agree with some of the interpretations and final recommendations on clinical problems, the data are presented clearly and the recommendations logically.
The first part of the book contains an extremely good chapter evaluating
