The frequency of metastases to the central nervous system, with the usual devastating consequences to the patient, make the study of this subject of paramount importance to the student of oncology. Although there is no shortage of reviews and papers on the subject, there is a distinct lack of recent, comprehensive reference books, particularly those incorporating newer approaches to diagnosis and management.
