To the editor: In the November 1982 issue, in the letter by Cordonnier and associates (1), the adjective "leukocytoclastic" is misprinted four times as "leukocytoblastic," a neologism. Both the context of the letter and the references cited confirm this; the term describes the breakdown products of neutrophils (leukocytoclasis) seen pathologically.
Also, the University of Connecticut Health Center (2) is located in Farmington, not Hartford, Connecticut.
SCHNEIDERMAN H. Correction: "Leukocytoblastic" for "Leukocytoclastic;" "Farmington" for "Hartford". Ann Intern Med. 1983;98:262. doi: https://doi.org/10.7326/0003-4819-98-2-262_2
