Sixty-six contributors were needed to create this encyclopedic compendium on the pharmacology of anticonvulsant drugs. This book is a significant update of the original edition published 10 years ago. New chapters examine the mechanisms by which some drugs act at the molecular level, methods of testing drug levels, and descriptions of newer drugs such as carbamazepine, valproate, and nitrazepam. Unfortunately not all topics previously covered have been brought up-to-date, and there is repetition where one area overlaps with another.
