Recently there has been a proliferation of textbooks on cancer medicine. Most of these books have been designed for the clinical oncologist, but Concepts in Cancer Medicine fills the need of the educator who teaches cancer medicine to medical students, house officers, and physicians not trained in oncology. This book, by several prominent cancer educators, was sponsored by the American Association for Cancer Education.
The book is arranged in three sections, and most chapters are simply outstanding. The section on basic science contains several interesting educational approaches. For example, a chapter on the tools of cancer epidemiology presents the methods
