The University Press and the Medical School of Oxford have collaborated to produce a major new textbook of medicine. Instead of continuing to print Price's textbook, which reached its 12th edition in 1978, the Press has begun afresh. Most of the contributors are from British centres, but the emphasis on worldwide medical problems is enhanced by sections from doctors in Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Kenya, Gambia, Jamaica, and Brazil. Twenty contributors are from the United States.
