The aim of the authors was to present a comprehensive and practical book to those directly involved in laboratory hematology, and they have done so. It is easy for a reviewer to find errors or omissions in books in his narrow field of expertise, and I have found some. But this book is meant to be a general textbook, to providing practical hematologic laboratory support for the care of patients.
The early chapters cover basics, the normal, and laboratory procedures common to much of hematology. Sections focused on groups of disorders follow. Readers can soon learn their way about the
