In recent years an explosion of information on the basic immunologic understanding and treatment of allergy has been seen that has crossed many specialized fields, including pulmonary medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology, ophthamology, dermatology, and otolaryngology. The aim of this book is to bring together the many aspects of the many different subjects relative to the treatment and management of patients who have some form of allergy affecting these various systems. In general, the book meets its aim and covers a vast array of topics in both basic immunologic explanation and clinical presentation and in management of these diseases.
