Four mini-atlases with color photographs illustrating common and uncommon disorders, diseases, and syndromes that may be diagnostically suspected from the patient's appearance (or, in a few illustrated cases, eyegrounds, roentgenographs, or electrocardiograms). Each illustration is accompanied by questions that are answered in the back of each volume. The purpose of this set is not clear; the answers do not offer explanation of lasting didactic value. Perhaps students might try to prepare for viva voce examinations by scanning these pages, or examiners lacking adequate case material could reach for a volume.
