I'm sorry to be writing out of turn, but something incredible has transpired that I hasten to communicate. Volume 3 of the paperback New American Prose, which came into my hands a few days ago, contains a long chapter from a novel in progress by W.T. Suthers. The novel's protagonist is John Valgin, whose story is neither more nor less than a biography of the inner life you have, on occasion, confessed to me! On page 371, "Our Contributors," are a few un-illuminating details about the author, who lives in Maine with a wife, three children,
