In no small part because of Dr. Feinstein's work, the term 'clinical epidemiology' has come to refer to a discipline dealing with the structure of medical and clinical research and its epidemiologic and statistical underpinnings. In the past 40 years many books have addressed these subjects in various ways, and yet published clinical research continues to contain conceptual, statistical, and inferential errors. It is evident that considerable room remains for improvement in the methodology of clinical research.
In many respects this book is unique for its genre, addressing at a very detailed level a vast array of research design subjects
