D. Geraint James was the organizer of the First World Conference on Sarcoidosis in 1958. His vast clinical experience and interest in medical history, as well as his jovial and friendly Welsh spirit, made him a natural focus for international conferences and clinical studies. He serves as executive director of The International Sarcoidosis Committee, and editor-in-chief of the new journal, Sarcoidosis. This book includes the early clinical descriptions of sarcoidosis with several historic photographs as well as reviews of the clinical features.
