The case of an 80-year-old man with confusion is presented for evaluation and management. The program, written by Dr. Eric B. Larson, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington, is thoroughly instructive with several explanatory screens appearing as choices are made. After the initial presenting illness is explained, the user chooses from 15 different categories to obtain the complete history and physical examination that most physicians would recommend if needed. In addition, the user has to choose a more detailed neurologic history that, again, should be part of a thorough examination in any patient with confusion. The diagnosis
