In the article by Kobrinsky and associates (1) in the October issue, the word "intraoperative" was incorrectly used instead of the word "postoperative." The error occurs in the last paragraph of the article; the sentence should read:
In conclusion, desmopressin administered before spinal fusion surgery was effective in reducing blood loss and transfusion requirements during surgery and postoperative analgesic requirements.
In addition, the second side heading in Table 3 was incorrectly presented as "Blood loss vertebra, mL." The heading should have read, "Blood loss/vertebra, mL."
