The field of immunology is expanding in its application to almost every medical subspecialty of clinical medicine. A large number of books have appeared that relate to the immunology of specific subspecialties. At the same time the standard texts for allergy and clinical immunology have expanded to become comprehensive and all-inclusive. Many of these books have become two-volume editions that serve as reference works.
