In the letter appearing on pages 976 and 977 in the December issue (1), a change introduced by a manuscript editor has led to a misstatement. The first sentence of the last paragraph in this letter should read: "The acute renal failure in this patient cannot be explained by volume depletion or by acute interstitial nephritis which has only been described in patients consuming nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for 2 weeks to 18 months. . . ." Later in that paragraph the word drug was omitted from the phrase "another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, zomepirac sodium." The editorial office accepts responsibility for both
