This text is the first comprehensive work exclusively on Hodgkin disease to be published since the second edition of Henry Kaplan's monumental book in 1980. Hodgkin disease has acquired an importance to oncology out of proportion to its incidence. It was the first solid tumor that could be cured even when widely disseminated. Today, it serves as the model for multidisciplinary approaches to clinical and pathologic staging and treatment planning, as well as for the integrated use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
