The editors have skillfully integrated the basic concepts of physiology and the complexities of clinical nephrology into a comprehensive textbook. Thus, this textbook will appeal to a broad cross section of the medical community. This second edition is organized traditionally. It begins with anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, followed by a clinical approach to renal problems and a discussion of specific disease states. The remainder covers end-stage renal disease and its therapy, clinical procedures, radiology, and pathology. Both the index and the table of contents are complete and allow easy access to all topics.
