To the Editor: There are errors in the fifth paragraph of our letter (1). After the first sentence, the rest of the paragraph should read as follows: "Of 41 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who had been transfused, 22 (54%) were anti-HCV positive, whereas of 40 patients who had not been transfused, 22 (55%) were anti-HCV positive (P = not significant). Twenty-five of thirty-eight (66%) patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who were anti-HBc positive compared with 19 of 43 (44%) patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and without anti-HBc were anti-HCV positive (P = not significant)."
